I picked up the GlowCity Light Up Basketball to test for my tech and lifestyle reviews, and it’s been a hit! The ball uses two internal LEDs that activate on impact—every bounce or dribble lights it up with a bright glow (red in my case). I took it to an outdoor court at night, and it was a game-changer; the visibility is excellent, and it made playing after dark so much fun. The ball itself is a standard size 7 with a good grip, so it performs well for actual gameplay—I didn’t notice any difference in weight or balance compared to a regular basketball. The LEDs are powered by pre-installed batteries, and after a few hours of use, they’re still going strong (GlowCity claims 30 hours of life). My only issue is that the lights can be a bit distracting during serious games, but for casual play, it’s perfect. Great for kids, teens, or anyone who loves a unique sports experience!
the quality of the ball is great! Very nice grip and a good size for adults and kids! The light turns on everytime you pick it up or even Bounce it and looks pretty cool when playing ball at night, my husband and son really loved it!
This Christmas I was unable to travel back home so I ordered gifts and sent them to my parents house. Otherwise I would've attached a photo of this glow in the dark basketball. I ordered this for my 12 year old nephew who is big into basketball and wants to play at all hours of the day. This a great product for families who enjoy being outside at dusk and after sunset. Our grandchildren love it so we will probably get one for our home for when they visit. Just a note we keep it stored out of light so it will last along time. The hot weather is brutal on sports equipment.
